Protagonist

Jane feels like no one takes her seriously. She is becoming obsessed with the wallpaper and examines it for hours (Pg. 7). When she says that there is a woman creeping behind the pattern I think she is referring to all of the women fighting for equal rights. The wallpaper is society holding them back. She says she doesn't like the smell but it is her (Pg. 8). The smell is her mind slowly decaying. She is beginning to see the woman everywhere (Pg. 9). I think Jane is slowly becoming insane.

Protagonist: The leading character, hero, or heroine of a drama or other literary work.

  1. I like how you staed, Jane feels like no one takes her seriously. She is becoming obsessed with the wallpaper and examines it for hours. I like how you said the wallpaper represents society that is holding her back. I really agree that Jane is slowly becoming insane.

  2. This blog was a complete different take on what i thought of the story. However, you did not make the correct citations. You do not need to include her name because we all read the same story. You also did not include a description about the links, Overall, this blog was very interesting

  3. Aside from not having citations, your information is accurate. Her obsession with the wallpaper is indescribable and it was important to include that. I also agree with your statement about the wallpaper and fighting for women's rights. Well said!
